Wire harnesses are now produced with solar power

Crimppi invests in green energy in Finland and Croatia.

Crimppi has taken a huge leap in its journey towards carbon neutrality. 205 kW solar panels have been installed on the roof of Crimppi’s Finnish factory, while 140 kW solar panels are now producing electricity on our Croatian factory’s roof. Thanks to this, a large part of our wire harnesses will be manufactured using green electricity. We are honored to help our customers make their operations and the world more sustainable.

Crimppi’s use of solar panels has significant environmental benefits: The annual energy yield will be about 300 MWh. This will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by ~45 tons every year, which is equivalent to planting 2,000 trees.

Environmental responsibility is an important part of Crimppi’s strategy

Crimppi’s strategic goal is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025. In addition to installing solar panels, the Vaasa factory has switched to using an all-electric van that is used to deliver goods to local customers. These investments further strengthen Crimppi’s commitment to environmental protection.

We take environmental responsibility into account by

  • constantly looking for new environmentally friendly solutions,
  • making waste sorting and recycling more efficient, and
  • reducing emissions and energy consumption.
