Crimppi makes a record-breaking investment in Vaasa – strong and sustainable growth as the goal

Crimppi, Finland’s leading wire harness manufacturer, has made the largest single investment in its history at its Vaasa unit. The investment of over one million euros in new machinery will increase capacity and streamline production. The investment is part of Crimppi’s determined growth strategy, which aims for sustainable and responsible business operations.

During the spring of 2024, Crimppi acquired several new machines for various stages of production at its Vaasa factory. The investments will increase the factory’s capacity and make production more flexible and efficient.

“With these investments, we are modernising our machinery and securing our future growth. The new machines will bring additional capacity and flexibility to our operations and offer new opportunities for our customers”, says Timo Harri, CEO of Crimppi.

Thanks to the new investments, Crimppi’s Vaasa factory now has the most extensive and versatile machinery in its field in Finland. The newly acquired machines will partially replace older equipment but also bring new features and increase production volume.

Crimppi is currently undergoing a strong investment and growth phase. The Group has just established a new factory in Latvia and has also invested in its other subsidiaries in China and Croatia. Crimppi Group aims to grow strongly and sustainably at all its factories.

“The Vaasa factory is already carbon neutral, and we are aiming for carbon neutrality for the entire Group by 2025. Our growth is based on responsible business operations environmentally, socially, and in terms of governance”, Harri emphasises.

Crimppi has switched to entirely green heating and electricity at its Vaasa factory. The company has updated its sustainability web pages and actively communicates its sustainable development actions to customers and employees.
